Most people only know Göschenen as a stopover from their holiday trip to Italy. But Göschenen and its region has more to show. It is a peaceful little village at the entrance to the Göscheneralp-Valley, surrounded with beautiful mountain ranges. In summertime, the valley is an exceptional place for hiking-tours.It has also a wonderful reservoir lake, where you can fishing, walking or just relaxing. The alppasses Gotthard, Furka, Oberalp and Susten are right in the neighbourhood as well as 5 SAC (Swiss-Alps-Club) mountain huts. This village is really an ideal starting point for hiking-, climbing-, mountainbiking-, cycling- and other tours. In wintertime, for skiing or cross-country-skiing in Andermatt you will be there in 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by train.
